Organizing an Event
At the DYM Disaster Preparedness Event, we had the honor of welcoming disaster preparedness creator Yusuke, who provided us with practical and in-depth learning experiences. During his lecture, Yusuke introduced key points to raise awareness of disaster preparedness, including the concept of “Five Zero Japan” and the “importance of a single piece of paper.” These insights helped us realize the necessity of concrete preparations we hadn’t previously considered.
The seminar also allowed participants to imagine simulated disaster scenarios while learning essential knowledge and actions needed for preparedness. It was a powerful reminder of the importance of “preparing your mindset.” Through interactive elements like quizzes and demonstrations, the lecture went beyond passive listening, enabling participants to deepen their understanding of disaster preparedness through hands-on experience.
Yusuke’s passionate message underscored the importance of making preparedness an “everyday habit” in our lives. Inspired by his enthusiasm, we are committed to organizing more events that make disaster preparedness both engaging and meaningful, and we look forward to collaborating with Yusuke again in the future.
