Nishimachi

Lecture

Recently, we conducted a lecture in English on disaster preparedness for the Minamisanriku Club at Nishimachi International School.

This was an excellent opportunity to communicate the importance of disaster preparedness in Japan—a country frequently affected by natural disasters—to young individuals learning in an international environment. The students engaged in interactive learning through quizzes, deepening their knowledge of disaster preparedness while discussing how to act during real emergencies in a fun and engaging way.

Furthermore, the students have committed to participating in future volunteer activities and contributing to the upcoming Nishimachi Food Fair, a disaster awareness event. At the fair, they will help sell specialty products from Minamisanriku, fostering connections between the local community and students while promoting greater disaster awareness.
